Artist Statement

About Me

My work explores the process of growth through movement; a system of unraveling and rebuilding that leads to growth. My medium of choice is heavy body acrylics and my favorite tool is the palette knife.

Starting to create in my thirties allowed me to emerge from the weight of others’ expectations and choose my own path. The more time I spent painting, the better I felt. I continued working as a scientist while quietly building my art business on the side. Ultimately I made the leap to full-time artist and am enjoying this journey of endless possibility.
